How I Used Social Media To Make Last Month Insanely Productive
Social media gets a bad rap for a lot of reasons:
- It’s a mindless way to lose several hours of your life while gaining next to nothing
- It can encourage people to compare themselves to others and feel badly about their own life
- It’s filled with advertisements waiting to slurp all the money right out of your wallet, and it’s probably spying on you
There are many reasons why you might not want to use social media on a regular basis, but there are some good things, too. I want to propose one way that social media has really helped me with my work.
Accountability
Accountability is an important driver for many of us. It can be hard to find enough internal energy to convince yourself to get something done. If you have an external force to which you are accountable for your work, it can give you that extra push to help you stay on track.
Finding a personal accountability partner, someone that you know and trust to check in with you, is one option. Another option is using social media as your accountability partner.
