I agree, YouTube is often shared as an "easy" side hustle, but it has been the most difficult for me by far. I also say this with experience monetizing other kinds of video content (e.g. Twitch streaming) so the difference really is in the platform, not necessarily the medium (writing versus video).

I love to see an honest take like this.
