RedBubble Review: Which Print on Demand Service Is Best?
A few years ago, around 2018, I tried to open a sticker and art shop, with the desire to sell journal stickers. Stickers that would be good for use in journals, to decorate planners, and support a Bullet Journaling hobby.
I chose to use RedBubble, and ultimately I was not pleased with the quality of the products I ordered as samples and shut down the shop.
Years later, I’ve been getting back into drawing and have several designs that would make great journal stickers.
However, I’m still not in a place where I can (or want to) handle ordering stickers in bulk and running a shop from my home, so I am looking at print on demand again.
In the intervening years, it’s possible that RedBubble has improved their offerings, and I never looked at other options originally. This time, I’m expanding my research to include 4 different services: RedBubble, Society6, Zazzle, and Printful.
I also ordered samples from Printify, but I ordered them much later so they didn’t arrive in time for this review. If they arrive soon, I’ll be happy to tack a review of Printify on at the end.
To keep things from getting too long, I’ll split these out so that there’s one service per post, and link them together here as they’re published. First up: RedBubble.

The Design
I used the same design for all of the sticker samples, to ensure consistency between them for review. It is a simple design of 4 cozy beverages. The image is about 1800 pixels wide by 500 pixels tall, and I was careful not to artificially scale up the image in any of the print-on-demand websites, to avoid creating blurriness or artifacts in the print.
I did have to reposition, tile, or otherwise rearrange the stickers for some of the services to comply with their kiss-cut requirements or to fit more stickers on a given sheet. Whenever possible, I ordered all the available sizes and materials for the stickers to get the full experience of what that printing service had to offer for stickers.
